“Sharing Intergenerational Skills, Knowledge and Experiences”
The Young Professionals EPW-NYC Program is created for EPW-NYC members who are under 35 years old and is an extension of the organization and BPW International. While not a separate entity, it is understood that there are distinct needs of a younger generation (starting a career, professional development, balancing life and work, etc).
Recognized as equal partners in the sustainability of the organization, emphasis is heavily geared towards succession planning, and providing valuable leadership and skill development opportunities. Young Professional EPW-NYC members are supported and encouraged by their local, national and international leaders.
This program provides a platform on a local, national and international level for young professionals to receive mentoring from seasoned women in business and to learn how to:
- run an organization
- serve on a board
- acquire new skills to bring to the professional world.
The Young Professionals work together with the seasoned members of the organization to accomplish common goals that satisfy EPW-NYC’s mission and values. EPW-NYC encourages intergenerational discussions, the exchange of skills based knowledge, and opportunities to mentor each other.
You can be as involved as you would like to be.
Young Professional EPW’s meet virtually with other YEPWs nationally, internationally and when they visit NYC.
Young Professionals serve on the Board.
Young Professional EPW-NYC members organize monthly meetings for our chapter, present at meetings,
and can serve as youth representatives to the UN.
Young Professional EPW-NYC members have opportunities to serve on international committees and present at BPW International’s Congress. Next International Congress is in 2017. Will your name be on the Presenters’ List?
Access: Once a member in the EPW-NYC chapter, you have access to the local, national, regional and international parts of the organization.
